A small introduction about you ✨
Hi, I’m Julia from Neu-Ulm, Germany, now living in Barcelona. I started out as a technical writer, moved into digital project management, and deepened my user focus with a UX Master’s. At MVST, I now combine it all as a Product Manager. Outside of work, I love traveling, going to art and music events, doing yoga to slow down, and running to get my energy out.
What inspired you to pursue a career in the software industry?
What drew me to the software industry was the chance to create products that solve problems and improve people’s lives. I enjoy combining creativity with practical solutions, and software offers endless opportunities to do just that.
What do you do to provide yourself with a good work-life balance?
For me, work-life balance means being mindful of my energy and attention. I focus on creating structure during the workday, setting clear goals and prioritizing tasks to stay productive, but I also make it a priority to disconnect and recharge, whether it's through friends, time in nature, or sports. That helps me stay creative, clear-headed, and ready to bring my best to the team.
If you could work from anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Probably Hiriketiya in Sri Lanka. It’s this quiet surf bay with a relaxed vibe, right by the ocean. I spent some time there and totally fell in love with the lifestyle, early mornings with yoga, focused work during the day, and a surf break in the afternoon. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel clear-headed and energized without even trying.
