A small introduction about you ✨
Hi, I’m Ismael! I was born and raised in Fortaleza, Brazil, and I have a degree in electrical engineering. I work in software development, driven by my lifelong curiosity about how things work and my passion for technology. Beyond my STEM side, I’m deeply interested in history, philosophy, and geopolitics. In my free time, I love reading and going for jogs a couple of times a week—it’s where I recharge.
What's something that you're passionate about?
I’m passionate about learning new things. I believe the pursuit of knowledge is one of life’s greatest purposes, and that curiosity about the unknown is a natural part of being human. For me, trying to understand the world around us is both exciting and deeply fulfilling.
What's the most memorable piece of advice you've received, and how has it influenced your life?
The most memorable advice I’ve received is that we must accept both the good and the bad in life, because ups and downs are inherent to the human experience. Trying to avoid all suffering only leads to more suffering. This perspective has helped me handle setbacks with less anxiety and focus on what I can control, rather than stressing over what I cannot.
What do you value in a new company / in a boss / in co-workers the most?
I value leaders and colleagues who understand people and know how to bring out the best in them, maintaining motivation and a positive mindset even when challenges arise or things don’t seem very promising.
