About Bruno

  • Full Name: Bruno Gross
  • Home Country: Brazil 🇧🇷
  • Position: Full Stack Developer

A small introduction about you

Hi, I’m Bruno! I’m from Petrópolis, Brazil, but I’ve moved around a lot… From big cities like São Paulo to more unusual ones like Brasília. I was once an architect, but as much as I love the field itself, I didn’t like the profession much. Technology was always a big part of my life, from breaking my family 486 as kid (yes, I’m that old) and glancing at old dumb mainframe terminals (my father was a programmer) to using CAD tools, 3D modeling software, and finally, learning programming. In my free time, I practice boxing, enjoy art, do photography, and love hiking in nature. But honestly, most of the time, you’ll find me learning something new on the internet.

What do you value in a new company / in a boss / in co-workers the most?

I value people who can see people. What do I mean by that? It’s easier to develop a technical skill than to develop personal traits such as curiosity, kindness, and empathy. A company full of curious and “easy to work with” people is a place where everyone can develop in the best way possible.

If you could work from anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Right now, I would like to be next to the ones who can teach me, maybe Munich or Barcelona (next to the company), I think this makes a lot of difference in the quality of the learning process. As I get more experienced, maybe somewhere where I could teach what I know to people who can’t really get the privilege of being in Europe, so maybe right here in my city in Brazil.

What are you looking forward to the most at MVST?

I know for a fact that there are intelligent, smart, and talented people at MVST, so I’m looking forward to learn from them and, eventually, be someone who can contribute as well.
